Luncheon Meeting Minutes- October 13, 2010

The Lyndon Area Business Association luncheon meeting was held at Lyndon City Hall, 515 Wood Road, Louisville, KY 40222.

We were honored to provide our members and guests an opportunity to meet candidates running for Louisville Mayor in the November 2^nd election. Thank you to AT&T for sponsoring today’s meeting. Hank Mangeot-LABA President opened the meeting and shared the following information:

·         Welcome – Hank thanked everyone for attending. Your participation is greatly appreciated. Recognized Bernie Bell & Mike Rucker with Jersey Mike’s Subs for catering for today’s meeting.

·         Recognized New Members:

·         Mayoral Forum – We are proud to be joined today by candidates running in the November 2^nd election for Louisville Mayor. The following candidates are in attendance: Greg Fischer, Jackie Green & Hal Heiner.

o   October 23^rd 8:30am Community Cleanup Partnership with Glen Stuckel-Metro Councilman meet at Lyndon Fire Dept 8414 Westport Rd

o   October 28^th 5-7pm Business Connection hosted by Lyndon Animal Clinic – Dr. & Mrs. Kurt Oliver are hosting a wonderful evening in their remodeled facility at 1000 Lyndon Lane.

o   November 1^st 3-7pm  LABA Blood Drive at the Lyndon Fire Dept 8126 New LaGrange Rd

o   November 10^th 11:30am Luncheon Meeting – Speaker Dr. Sheldon Berman, JCPS Superintendent, Lyndon City Hall (Also last general meeting of the 2010)

·         Moderator – Our gracious moderator today is Scott Reynolds, Anchor with Wave-3 TV. He will review the process that we’ll follow today. We ask for your respect of the timeframe provided and allow each candidate the opportunity to address the audience. You will have time after the program to speak individually to the candidates if you so choose.

·         Forum – The candidates were asked a series of questions and also provided an opportunity for them to address each other with questions as well.

·         Scott Reynolds /Hank Mangeot – thanked everyone for attending & close the program.
