CITY OF
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
MONDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2010
The Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Barto at 6:00p.m. The Council said the Pledge of Allegiance. Those present: Jim Baker, Terry Brooke, Betsy Kramer, Becky Ricketts, Tom Solley, Phillip Worsley and City Attorney John Singler. Mary Watson was absent.
A motion and a second were made to approve the minutes of the November 22, 2010 Council Meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
The Treasurer’s Report was given and will be filed for audit.
A motion and a second were made to approve Municipal Order #11.11. Motion carried unanimously.
LABA Request on Behalf of the Lyndon Elks – Motion and a second were made to approve the Lyndon Area Business Association’s request on behalf of the Lyndon Elks to have a Beer Garden at the 2011 Lyndon Fair. Attorney John Singler explained that three members of the Council, who are also members of the Lyndon Elks, had to recuse themselves in the voting of the request. Upon roll call vote the following voted “aye”: Betsy Kramer, Becky Ricketts and Phil Worsley. No one voted “nay. The motion carried unanimously.
The Mayor announced because this was a special meeting, no other business can be conducted.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Mayor announced the next Caucus Meeting will be January 17, 2011 and the Council Meeting will be January 24, 2011, both at 6:00pm.
