In 2002 the City of Lyndon purchased 10 beautiful acres on Wood Road, known as Romara Place. The property was the home of the Lyndon founder, Alvin Wood.
The property includes the main house, a stone garage, and a stone outbuilding. The garage was thought to have originally been used as a carriage house, and the outbuilding a springhouse or a smokehouse.
In 2007 the City of Lyndon renovated Romara Place and now its beautiful space is available for public use.
